Supporting Our Programs Monetary Donation Morning Dove is a non-profit organization and we must look to our friends and volunteers for support to properly run our facility.  We do not recieve any state or federal assistance and depend upon donations and grants to help fund our on site and outreach programs. As a not-for-profit, Morning Dove depends on private donations from individuals, groups, and corporate sponsors to maintain the horses and program facilities.  Monetary donations are also accepted for scholarships for riders and/or horses.  Monetary donations are used to pay for feed, veterinary and farrier services, pasture and building maintenance, tack, and riding equipment.  We also accept other types of support listed below.  As our programs grow so does our need for support from the community we serve..   If you are interested in making a contribution to help support Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding, there are several options for your convenience: Contact our office at 317-769-5161 Download, complete, and mail the form below to: Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding, Inc. We have replaced most  items through the generosity of our firends.  We are still looking for certain items to support the growth of our program.  If you have any of these items to donate or wish to donate funds to purchase these items, please contact us by phone or by e-mail. If you sponsor a horse, in addition to a tax credit, you would receive a plaque for your home or office and a plaque would be displayed at Morning Dove in gratitude for your sponsorship of that horse. Horse Donation DO you have a horse looking for a second or third career?  We accept horses between the ages of 10 and 18 in good physical condition and an easy tempermant.  They must be sound at the walk trot and canter with out major vices or health conditions that require long term medications.  They must be able to tolerate loud noises, unbalanced riders, crowds and being stalled.  We are currently looking for horses who can carry up to 250 pounds and are between 14 and 15 hands high.  All horses are accepted on a 60 day trial basis.  During that period they are given tiem to adjust to the herd and to the routine, they are ridden and tested with toys and equipment and introduced to the lift and ramp.  They are then tried out in a class with an instructor rider then with an advanced student.  If they pass each stage, we work with the owner to determine long term arrangments.  Most horse donations are tax deductable.  Check with you tax professional to find out.  If you are interested in donating your horse, contact us to arrange a visit.
