OUR MISSION is to improve the lives of individuals in the greater Indianapolis community with physical, cognitive, emotional and/or behavioral challenges through equine-assisted therapies and activities.
WHAT WE DO
Morning Dove is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. We are a Premier Accredited Center member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH). We offer programs in equine-assisted activities, such as therapeutic riding, hippotherapy and equine learning programs like Lead Changes for at-risk youth, and our special camps, Camp Dove and Barn Buddies.
Morning Dove only employs PATH-certified instructors to facilitate its programs.
New participants are referred by current riders and their families, physicians, therapists, school counselors, or they find Morning Dove by word of mouth.
HOW WE DO IT
Morning Dove relies on a small staff of 5 full-time and 2 part-time team members, 4 part-time instructors, over 100 devoted volunteers, a 12-member Board of Directors, and a dedicated herd of hero horses.
Morning Dove is funded in part through lesson fees, but, primarily relies upon individual and corporate philanthropy, as well as targeted grants. Our goal is to serve the broadest community possible regardless of ability to pay.
